I just got done watching "The Being" and noticed some star power in that flick you didn't mention in your review (Martin Landau, Ruth Buzzi, Jose Ferrer).  Okay, not exactly "stars" but known actors, including an Oscar winner.  Anyway, at the end they have the type of credits that show the each of the characters on screen with their names across the bottom... then they roll credits as usual.  When they show the credits with the characters on screen, Mort - the main character - is listed as "Rexx Coltrane" (the second x for emphasis, I guess)... then in the rollng credits they list the actor playing Mort as "Johnny Commander."  Both names sound kind of made-up.  Any idea which is right or why they did this?  I'm pretty sure it was the same actor all the way through, although it was pretty dark most of the time.

Pulled my tape off the shelf and took a look too.  I have no idea why they would do that.  And, just to further the confusion, the IMDB says it was "Bill Osco" playing as "Rexx Coltrane" for the part.

*****  Wow, now THAT is suspiscious.  Whoever this man is, he went to very great lengths to cover his tracks.  Given the movie, this is understandable.
