I haven't watched nearly as many teen comedies since I've gotten older, and this one was a good example of why. The plotline is simple: two talented and clever high school football players who are both full-time horndogs decide to ditch football camp - "two weeks in the blazing summer sun with no chicks in sight" - and join the cheerleading squad instead, going to cheerleading camp for three weeks with "300 babes and only 6 straight guys."
Some parts of this movie were a little amusing. The constant banter between the two lead actors was actually funny some of the time, but the plot was weak and predictable. There was very little nudity (5 seconds of boobie in one scene to get the movie its "UNRATED" label), just constant jokes. The head of their cheer squad is a no-nonsense girl who sees right through their motives but lets them go anyway. Of course, one of our heroes falls in love with her, and her boyfriend is a total cheating jerk, the other guy falls for the camp director's wife, etc.
If you're really bored, you might enjoy this, or if you are under 25. Otherwise, stay away!

BTW, my wife and kids are gone for the next week, and it's 102 outside today AGAIN, so expect lots of movie commentaries these next few days.

That's the plot of most teen guy comedies for as long as I can remember. Two or more horny teen guys try to come up with a fool proof way to get laid with supposed hilarious results to ensue. We just remember the ones from our youth more fondly because they had meaning to us when we were teens but the truth is they are just as bad as the ones today.
Movie Trivia Fact : O.J. Simpson was considered for the title role in The Terminator, but producers feared he was \"too nice\" to be taken seriously as a cold-blooded killer.
Isn\'t hindsight great.
A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. - Agent Kay - Men in Black

I've never actually watched a teen summer comedy movie, largely because they all seem like the same deal and aren't very appealing at all. I can only imagine some of these films being funny in the cinemas, when you laugh along with the audience, but at home I don't think I'd laugh as much.

Good point. The further we are from our teen years, the less we identify with teen movies. I will say the three AMERICAN PIE flicks were really, really funny - but the endless line of clones they have spawned just aren't. (Stuff like BAND CAMP, THE NAKED MILE, etc. I haven't even bothered with.)

OK, but with them gone, we expect movies with a bit more T&A to be reviewed, OK?
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

I blame it all on John Landis. He made Animal House and I swear since then every film in teen/college comedy genre has tried to capture that lightning in a bottle only to fall short. He set the bar too high for all the imitators.
