A while back I posted a link to a company that made a tasting robot.  They discovered:

Cool idea for a horror movie but not pratical since it requries a dead human to be converted into fuel... :)

Not too impractical if they are programmed to hunt and kill humans. Your tax dollars at work.

And there is a constant fresh supply of dead humans. Sounds VERY practical to me.
