I look on this message board and I see a lot of people talking about movies they've seen or movies they've been meaning to see, so I'm jumping on he bandwagon! Here's a list of some movies sitting on my closet shelf waiting for a sleepless night or a free weekend to be seen.

-Supermanchu (kung fu movie claiming "Cooler than Bond! Quicker than Fly! Deadlier than Shaft!" Looks bad in a good way)

-The Day Time Ended (Reviewed on this site)
-The Terror (Young Jack Nicholson pairs with Boris Karloff in this movie)
-Scared to Death (Bela Lugosi in color!)
-Rebel Storm (80's action. Time travelling DJ goes to the future to spread music!)

-Gangster's Law (little known about this movie)
-Cry of the Innocent (Dumb looking movie about a man who avenges his family's death using techniques he learned in VIETNAM!)
-Fearless Hyena 1 and 2 (Two versions of the movie. Don't know the difference)

-Night Force (awful 80's action. Saw half of it, and turned it off. Reviewed at http://www.badmovieplanet.com/inferno Given the lowest rating possible)
-Oasis of the Zombies (Reviewed on this site. Looks like a bad kind of bad movie)
-Ninja Destroyer (American ninja movie! This could be fun)
-The Incredible Melting Man (Saw it on Mst3k, and wanted to get an original copy)

-Mad Max (Seen it on TV so many times, I HAD to get a copy of my own)
-The Return of Swamp Thing (Seen on Sci-Fi, and was so bad I had to find a copy)
-Brainwaves (70's Sci-Fi. Looks like it tries to have a message. Hope isn't too bad)

I also have about 8 movies coming in the mail from the worthwhile Ebay.com. Most of them are unMstied movies like Master Ninja, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, The Castle of Fu Manchu, The Hellcats, Quest of the Delta Knights and Devil Fish. I can't wait for them to come in! I'm so excited!

What do you guys have sitting on your 'shelf' waiting to be seen? What about rentals you've been meaning to see? I've got about 50 titles for rentals I haven't seen yet, but that's a different post. Let me hear ya!

I've been meaning to see Terry Gilliam's Brazil for years, but I want to see the three-disc DVD with all the different cuts, but I don't want to buy it. I either find it at a video store or rent it online, but I always forget.

>-The Day Time Ended

Kind of liked this one, it was weird.

>-The Terror

I thought this one was boring and the ending is predictable.

>-Mad Max

I hope you got the original, undubbed version.

>-The Return of Swamp Thing

Does anyone else thing that ST's voice in this movie sounds just like Christopher Stone, husband of Dee Wallace Stone whom he appeared with in The Howling and Cujo?

>What do you guys have sitting on your 'shelf' waiting to be seen?

Nothing store-bought. I taped the original Solaris, but haven't watched it yet. I also have the entire 6 episode run of All Souls on tape unwatched.

Probably about two hundred, with names like "Challenge of the Ninja" and "Steel Justice."  I can tell you one that I found online that really interests me, that would be "Terror Serpent."  Apparently a giant snake movie, with effects along the lines of "Reptilicus."

I've got two Russ Meyer movies:
CHERRY, HARRY & RAQUEL
FINDERS KEEPERS, LOVERS WEEPERS

Also Doris Wishman's last movie on DVD:
SATAN WAS A LADY
This disc has outtakes that I did watch and it was cool because you could see Doris in action, directing. But I have yet to see the movie.

Believe it or not, I've got an English dubbed copy of THUNDER OF GIGANTIC SERPENT aka TERROR SERPENT. I've actually had it for almost a year and have been meaning to do a right up on it for sometime now, but to be honest, we're not really missing an awful lot. It's basically a combination of the original GAMERA (child befriends giant monster) and REPTILICUS (giant serpent on the rampage in a big city).  Amazingly, the whole deal with the giant snake is actually a subplot of the film and the giant snake doesn't really do anything until the film's last half hour. The majority of the story involves a scientist and some bad guys who are after this formula he invented. This formula is what is responsible for the snake's giganticism. And the rest is based around the drama involving the lonely girl who bonds with the big snake that keeps getting bigger. Technically, its big rampage in the third act is triggered when the bad guys take her and her dad hostage. I know snake's supposedly have a sixth sense, but apparently this one also has Spidey Sense. The effects look exactly like REPTILICUS would have looked like had it been made by Toho. I do have to give credit though because there are a couple of side shots of the monster snake slithering quickly through the cityscape that are nicely done. The ending...well, we've all seen KING KONG before. Actually, the movie goes on for about another 10 minutes after the snake is dispatched with because, as I said, it was a subplot for the real plot which is like something out of a 60s European spy flick. Oddly enough, even though the movie has all the trappings of typical giant monster movie, it would still warrant an R rating due to repeated use of the dreaded "F" word.

I'm guessing you saw the pics and stuff about the movie over at that German Monstrula site, which is, to my knowledge, the only site on the internet with any information about the movie. Would you be interested in teaming up and doing a joint review of the movie?
