Yes! After years of painstaking classes,  dozens of exams and several thraumatic oral expositions, I finally finished my college studies, and I am the proud owner of a degree in English Philology (I  know it is hard to believe) which will take... er, a couple of years to reach my hands (the minister of education has to sign every single one, ain't it weird).

This is the only the first step in my long transformation into an  English teacher or a translator. Meanwhile, I'll attend a course on popular narrative and its translation to cinema. Objects of study are things such as the writings by John Grisham, Tolkien or Stephen King and how people managed to make movies out of them. Can't wait.

And that's a real class? Something a person gets credit for? Crazy.

Actually it is not part of my studies, it is a small series of lectures some of my teachers do, and I'm thinking of it as a self-reward for finishing my studies. I'll get a diploma after attending all the lectures, but I am convinced its actual value is very close to zero.

How I'd wish regular classes offered those type of topics!
