Just the Way you Are (1984)

     I have a confession: I love Kristy McNichol!  So much so that I was pleased as punch to watch this early 80's cheese fest.  No,  you never get to hear the Billy Joel song, unfortunately.   This is sort of like a disaster movie without the disaster.  Kristy plays a flute player in an orchestra who has a small  leg brace thing that gives her a limp.  Whoever made this has no clue how men think because the idea that THAT would stop someone from trying to score with a girl is INSANE.  so she is self conscious about it and devises a plan to go on a ski trip but cover her leg in a cast and hang out in the lodge ans whatnot!  so instead of people thinking shes a freakish cripple they will think she is a bad skier.  The rest is all foolishness where all these guys are in love with her and she goes in a hot air ballon "woo hooo!".  Her and the star of the ski team dance to like 9 songs incuding ABBA "voulez vous" twice and don't break a sweat.  See it but never admit it.  learn from me
