Girl Student Killer - by me

Final project for one of my classes.  I was pretty happy with how it turned out, except for the lack of sound in some shots.  I forgot to set the camera to "internal mic" when I unplugged the boom mic.  I also put this in the "You Tube of the Day" thread but I don't think anyone noticed, so here ya go:

I liked the lighting!  I've found that good lighting can make even the worst p.o.s look just a little better [this from my making a heap of p.o.s!]  Did you have access to any good lighting gear, or did you just find a lone spotty to use?  Either way good work: any class that accepts films as assessment is ok in my book!

Next up a rockin' soundtrack and more boobies right?

Lighting was ambient lighting for the most part.  In the editing suite where Girl Student #1 gets killed, I looked around until I found an image to put on the bigscreen that was green enough to give the scene that "torture porn" look (that's really ripped off from Se7en).  In the darkened studio where Girl Student #2 is murdered, the only light came from one, small Fresnel diffused by an umbrella.

I see you've left it open for a sequel, eh?

I'll just keep remaking and expanding this movie as I work through the more advanced classes until it hits feature length.

I'm assuming you will eventually post the "director's cut" in this forum?  You know, the one with 20 seconds of additional footage too intense for theaters?  That's the one I'm waiting for!

I always had day dreams of making my own 'psycho' horror film. The lead is good!He does the Jack Nicholson eyebrow thing kinda! I like how he sniffs like a dog at food before he kills the first chick! One suggestion: Bring on the blood! Low budget films need blood or nudity to make it! ( I know this is a school project-but you can do blood-right?) Otherwise-it's fun and the camera work is cool.

Thank you for the kind words.  In the future, I will definitely have blood when the assignment allows for it.
