I was wondering if anyone else has seen this film. It was released in 1974 as a PG rated film called Street Sisters then released as Black Hooker with an R rating. The thing is the film has very little to do with with any streets or hookers. The title and it's alternate were just to cash in on the blaxplotation trend. The film's story is based around the illegitimate son of a black hooker who is raised by his grandparents. Apparently they were so poor they couldn't even afford names.
As far as the story of the film, having watched it just recently, I still could not tell you what it was because it makes no sense at all. At one point it's about the parents of the "Black Hooker" telling her that she needs to straighten up and do right by her illegitimate son that she dumped on them. Then later it's about the same kid now grown finding his girlfriend doing the nasty with his grandpa in the barn and getting ticked off with him enough to leave home. Then it goes into him finding his mom in the city to be rejected by her. Then it follows this guy into getting a job he looses cause the boss' wife tries to seduce him. Then he is graduating from some school only to have his grandma die of a heart attack brought on by dealing with the stress of his mom and grandpa arguing. Then he has some sort of experience that seems drug fueled. And finally he turns into some sort of murderer killing his mom in the end. After watching it, I swear I have seen porn films with a more consistant storyline to them.
However it has a lot of the usual bad movie stuff such as bad acting, bad dialogue, film fails to match up with the sound, poor camera angles, poor film quality, and it even takes on a sepia tone at one point towards the end. Overall it's a really bad movie that has very little to do with the title and a lot more in common with The Jerk but only if The Jerk was some sort of tragic chain of events strung together into a film with absolutely no comedy whatsoever.

I nearly misread that you meant The Jerk had absolutely no comedy whatsoever, I thought "what?".

I have this DVD in Mill Creek's DRIVE-IN MOVIE CLASSICS 50-movie pack, but I haven't watched it yet.  Maybe this weekend . . .

Well if you do and can figure out the plot, can you fill me in. I watched it last night and I still don't know what went on.

I started watching this film once and it left me wondering if I'd fallen asleep and missed something. Upon backing up and rewatching scenes, I realized I had missed nothing, except the sleep.
