What I am looking for are movies with over the top machismo. I'm talking so much that it's surreal, psychotic, weird.

Like, lots of yelling and then some guy going and smashing a guy's hand on a table ... there will be a segue into over the top blood splatter in these kinds of movies too.

The stuff I want will probably be more obscure than Jean-Claude Van Damme or Steven Seagal.

First thing that description brings to mind is blaxploitation movies.  Over-the-top machismo is the whole point of the genre, and it's usually played so badly it's ridiculous.  Here's Fred "The Hammer" Williamson in DEATH JOURNEY:

Predator's a good one, with Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke and a few other guys all trying to out-macho each other. And, of course, Arnie turning to serious guerrilla tactics in the end.

Not particularly obscure, but they don't come more over-the-top-machismo-y than Ah-nold's Commando

Plot holes galore, ridiculous levels of macho violence, and a FABULOUS S&M henchman. One of my favorite films. :teddyr:  :teddyr:

Reb Brown's Strike Commando might fill all requirements but sadly is not available on DVD:

Yeah, I should have mentioned that one, especially since Andrew just reviewed it.

This movie should be called:

Throw "HOT" Momma from the Train

Skull

The Centerfold Girls (1974)

I would show the trailer but it has nude scenes... :)

Lots of over the top machismo in this movie... and lots of nude scenes too... :)

Another blaxpo-PENITENTIARY (1979). A bunch of black men in state pen-getting all sweaty and fighting in their underwear. Comes dam close to being softcore gay porn. Yew!  :buggedout:
