these 4 guys are master drummers- extremely good, I'm doubting anyone else would mention them though.

Is this purely rock drummers?  Because even though many people don't like them, I have just started listening to them myself, Carter Beauford of Dave Matthews Band is an amazing drummer that is better than some on this list.  And the entire band gets a bad rep... one of the most talented groups musician-wise of the last 25 years.

No, it's not just rock drummers... I put Tito Puente, Max Roach, Art Blakey and Ray Barretto on the list.  But I would call a drummer who played for the DMB a rock drummer anyway.
