Going on holiday soon, will miss you all....

As from 15th September the air in this forum will be breathable once more and you can all pack your gasmasks away. The reason? I am going on a month's leave so no ringing phones, no emails to be answered, nothing to do actually.

Two things I will be doing though:

1. A director friend of mine ~ he directed American Ninja 3 and American Ninja 4 ~ is shooting a documentary series on the 114 year old history of our film industry, so he'll be interviewing me. I'm also assisting with the research.

2. I'll be giving a lecture at a college in Johannesburg on "the weird things you find in SA film archives". It'll be a short lecture because, aside from the 16mm Star Trek episode of The Immunity Syndrome we have here [dunno where it came from], the weirdest thing you can find here is me.

My last day on ze forum will be 14 September and then, like General McArthur, I shall return in October.

That was when I went to Bloemfontein in July to screen films (which isn't work at all for me as it's a pleasure to do it) but this is a real holiday, no work, no phones, no emails, no underpants, no nothing.
