Just curious...

When you talk to another person about money, do you usually say, "dollars" or "bucks"?

For example, you might one day exclaim:  "Holy crap!  That couch costs $3,000?!"

Are you most likely to put "bucks" or "dollars" on the end of that sentence?

BUCKS-" Yer theiven' little basterd freinds stole 240 f@uckin' bucks outta my dresser drawer!!! How we gonna pay the rent??? How we gonna eat. If you ever-EVER-let them dicksmacks back in my house-I WILL  KILL THEM. AND YOU WILL BE NEXT!!!

I think I usually say bucks, but I'm sure I use dollars sometimes too.  I never really pay any attention - nobody told me there'd be a quiz   :teddyr:

I've always said dollars. Never cared much for calling money bucks.

Depends on the situation: At work it's generally dollars, with friends and in more informal situations it'll be mainly be bucks.

Context determines it.  I've even called them smackers, smackeroos, greenbacks, you name it.

Usually bucks, but sometimes dollars.

Is this based on a real event, or did you just get REALLY into the role-playing there?

I usually say "bones", don't know why or when it even started. Unless someone is trying to get any amount of money from someone else then it's; "I want my 2 dollars!".

The Burgomaster

I probably say "bucks" about 80% of the time.  Does anyone say "simoleons" anymore?  About 10 or 20 years ago, "coin" was an overused term.  "I don't have enough coin to buy that."  I wasn't a big fan of that term.

Never really noticed which one I say more but I think "Dollars" is the term I use most of the time.
