Horrible Movie Night

Hi badmovies folks -

I'm writing to announce a monthly bad movie night in Los Angeles, Horrible Movie Night.  We show really lousy films, and encourage audience commentary.  Halfway through, our improv group takes the stage to mock the film even further.  It's been a lot of fun so far, and thought you all might be interested.

We usually show the third Saturday of every month.  We're still trying to lock down October's movie (it's between "Flight of the Living Dead", and "Suburban Sasquatch"), but it outta be a hoot either way.  Our previous two shows have featured "The Executioner Part 2", and "Memorial Valley Massacre".

Look us up on our Facebook group, or on our site, www.horriblemovienight.com  Thanks for your time, and hope to see you!

Definately go with that. I have to agree with Indianasmith, it has to be the worst.

I would come down to LA just for that.  Good luck!

Horrible Movie Night

Right on, fellas!

"Suburban Sasquatch" it is!  We cleared the movie with the distributor, and got the blessing of the director, Dave Wascavage, who is a super nice guy with a great sense of humor.  He's more than happy to have it presented at a show with a name like ours.  If any of you guys are L.A. local, come on down!  We've got a big catalog of movies on tap.

And meQal --!  What the film from your avatar?!  It's astounding!

You showed EXECUTIONER 2 to a real, live, breathing audience?

And now you're gonna show SURBURBAN SASQUATCH?

Wow. I mean, just Wow.

They're either going to love it - or burn the theater down and sow the ground with salt.

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

I'm thinking that if they didn't go on a rampage after EXECUTIONER 2, nothing will hurt that audience.

Horrible Movie Night

Since the audience can yell out comments during the films, it allows them to cope with the awfulness presented to them.  Both "Executioner Part 2" and "Memorial Valley Massacre" brought down the house -- in a good way.

We were turned down by MC Kung Fu himself for permission to show "City Dragon" publicly for our show.  I REALLY wish we coulda shown that movie to an audience -- that would have caused a riot.  There's a great post from MC Kung Fu on a site defending his movie here:  lurple(dot)com/content/city-dragon#comment-254

My avatar is from Italian Spiderman. As I have told people before, I did not know what it was from until someone pointed it out here. I just thought it was a pic of a guy who walked into a bathroom and discovered someoen had forgot to flush.

Here's a bump for our show this Saturday!

If any of youse guys are L.A.-adjacent, come on down to our show Saturday, October 17th.  We still have seats available, so RSVP to horriblemovie (at) pacbell.net.  We will be giving prizes for the best comments of the evening.  The prizes are provided by the director himself, Dave Wascavage.  Unfortunately, Dave cannot be at the screening (or maybe that's good?), but he is thrilled to have the movie screen for an audience.  We hope you can make it!
