I'll admit, HALLOWEEN is a little contrived, and the SCREAM re-makes, err, sequels that Dimension is putting out is making Mike's sparkle start to wear off...but the original ain't crap, that's fer sure.. If you ask me, he should have hung up the mask a long time ago and allowed the series to go in another direction as planned.

Just some thought on the movies mentioned above.

Mothman Prophecies = Good. Well Done.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre = Great. Real Terror
Phantasm = Good. You have to like the Tall Man walking around.
Star Wars Episode 1&2 = Bad. I was dissappointed, but I'm sure I'll see the rest.
Excalibur - Great. Music, Images, Story
Duel - Great. I'll never forget this one from my youth.
Blair Witch - Bad. The Worst. I liked the tape about the movie better.
Bram Stokers Dracula - Good. Well Done. Might have to see it again.
Sleepy Hollow - Bad. Bored me. Images were good.

Haven't seen these film below. I might add them to my list to be seen. Anyone dislike them?

All I have to say is that Texas Chainsaw Murders isnt scary it is SICK.
Also, the first Halloween was great.
Finally, the Astronaut's Wife is well done. Superb acting by Johnny Depp. It is a lot like Rosemary's Baby, but I must admit that the end disappoints me.....

DEAD HATE THE LIVING is easily the best zombie film of the 90s.

I saw "the astronaut's wife" on TV and didn't like it at all. It tried to be eerie and suspenseful, but found it dull and boring. The only remarkable thing is the climax. It is not good, but all the pressumed seriousness of the film finally goes out of the window and we finally get some madness. Acting was decent, though.

 I didn't like this one. Many of the cast members, especially Keanu, & Winona, didn't give me the impression that they belonged in that time period. Hopkin's character was a loud-mouthed jerk and I was rooting for him to die. The shots of the mansion and the train were obviously models (I'm told that was intentional). The shadows on the wall at the start seemed like an afterthought since none of the actors ever reacted to any of them.

 I didn't like this one either. As someone else mentioned, it was a blatant ripoff of Rosemary's Baby and was completely predictable with the requisite cliched, 'twist' ending.

Nazis, surf music, skeet, big hair, and the Anal Intruder 2000. What's not to like? I thought it was HYlarious. But, I also liked CopRock and Janr Austen's Mafia, so not the best recomendation. What fake dog poo?

I have some unpopular opinions I guess, Halloween bores me more than I can ever say.  I also like Jack Frost though (which gets me into trouble on this board) and for the final thing that's sure to p**s everyone here off; I'm tired of Army Of Darkness.  There, I said it.  It was good the first 20 times I saw it but every time one of my friends wants to be introduced to b-movies they want to see this one.  I'm 16 and I've seen it at least 48 times, no more.  Please.  Evil Dead 2 was better anyway in my opinion.   Please forgive me.........

It's okay Pancho, Iv'e got your back. Army of darkness was nice but your right ED2 was better. Halloween didn't do much for me either except for it's craftsmanship. I can appreciate that, but I'm not into slasher flicks in general. Especially not American Slasher flicks. At least the Italian ones made some jesture towards analyzing the killers motives. The American ones are content to assume that they're all homocidal maniacs from birth or something. As for Jack Frost... well... you're on your own.
