Okalie dokalie. Just picked up Brotherhood 2: Young Warlocks. Oh, the humanity! I was thinking maybe a cool little cheapo with tons of teens getting offed in all manner of ghastly and inventive ways. Nope, teenage boys hanging out in the shower in tight shorts. Going for a midnight dip in the pool...in tight shorts. Rolling around in bed together wearing....tight shorts. Look, It's the 21st century, we're all comfortable with who we are. But DAMMIT...truth in advertising. Don't promise ridiculous horror , when what you're offering is ridiculous fetish flicks about boys in tight undies. I feel violated. I implore everyone to avoid this flick at all costs...unless you're into boys in tighty whiteys. I also demand everyone switch to boxers and bloomers post haste. Thanks for your time.

Everyone has potentially fatal flaws, but yours involve a love of soldiers' wives, an insatiable thirst for whiskey, and the seven weak points in your left ventricle.

bloomers!?! you want people to ware bloomers? That's hysterical

So long as there are no young men in whitey-tighties, I am fine with this suggestion.

Somebody just wrote me asking for more stuff from "Voodoo Academy."  What in the HELL?

The movies you speak of are directed by David Decoteau, a man whose name has become something of a punchline in the online horror community. David DeCoteau makes low budget horror movies, a genre usually geared towards young males. David DeCoteau is also gay, not that there's anything wrong with that, but he seems to make the mistake that some filmmakers make. That being that he tends to make the movie he'd like to see rather than the type of movie the general moviegoing public would. So you can imagine how a lot of people, mostly men, feel when they rent one of his movies and notice that the there seems to be a ton of intentional homoerotic subtext. So here's a guy who makes horror movies geared towards young men loaded with scene after scene of buff, wet-lipped, young males running around in skimpy clothes for long periods of time and sometimes in slow motion, but the movies are not specifically marketed towards a gay audience. As I said, the guy has become a punchline.

Just check this out. He's got a new movie coming out later this year called LEECHES which is about, well, giant killer leeches. Check out the LEECHES picture gallery on DeCoteau's company website if you want a huge laugh. I hope none of the guys caught a cold filming that movie because from the looks of things their wardrobe consists of speedos and little else. I love how all the pics of the male stars look like Playgirl photos and all the girls' pics look like High School Yearbook photos. LEECHES must be Mr. Decoteau's dream project â€" a movie about a bunch of hunky guys who get sucked to death? Think about it. :)

Actually, he's consciously and deliberately courting a homoerotic market.

Well, I know he is but none of the trailers for his films or actual descriptions on the video boxes let you in on that. I mean, when you rent an Andy Sidaris film you pretty much know what to expect. On the other hand, I've come across countless people online who've picked up one of DeCoteau's flicks and shocked by "how gay" they are.

If you click BACK on the leeches photo album thing you can select photo albums for his other movies too, all are pretty much the same. Not that there is anything wrong with that :)

I saw his WOLVES OF WALL STREET a few years back, and I kinda wondered what was going on....

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Evil in tight underwear? It's only a matter of time before Trevor weighs in.
