old horror movie about a doll

can someone please help me?  I am trying to remember the name of a horror movie i saw a long time ago......all i remeber is a women that got an african doll/figurine with a sash around it and when she removed the sash the doll came to life and started chashing her around the house with a knife....i also remeber her putting it in the dryer and it saying "chop,chop,chop" over and over, but thats about all i remember...if someone knows the name of this movie please help?
