Just thought I'd let everyone know that Lori and I tied the knot on Saturday. Her being a minister, the church went all out with the ceremony.  Wonderful.

Something that might be of interest for you guys. I had a free hand in choosing the music for our entrance to the reception. So, I arranged with the DJ to play the first  17 seconds of the throne room music from Star Wars. We got the opening fanfare, which then faded out when it reached the obvious Star Wars music. Sounded great, and only a couple of sci-fi fans in the crowd recognized it, which is exactly what I'd hoped for. We had a great moment, with a little inside joke for a select few.

Now, it's all over, and we can begin married life - after we clean up everything our siblings did to the house while we were away. This includes putting about 300 VHS tapes back in their correct boxes.

Cool!
Boy...bet she has a sence of humor. All 300 tapes? Dude, remind your sibs, revenge is a dish best served cold!

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Congratulations!

Flush!!!!!

* Neville tosses rice into the air, earning a lot of embarrasing comments from the people in the college library.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Congrats, AndyC.  Marriage is a good thing...you always have someone to do something with.  On the other hand, children destroy your social life.  You have been warned.

Mazel Tov, as my people say!!! Have a fun time being married. I have to get through college before I can consider it. Women. Oy Vay.

Woulda been interesting to have the minister say "may the force be with you" at the end. Sounds fun tho. I went to my brothers wedding and their reception played an interesting collection of music, including tv show themes (sanford & son, jeffersons). There were some folks there from Europe who wondered if that was a normal american tradition.

Speaking of Star Wars i saw something on cnn about a star wars play (off broadway..musical? i dunno) It looked heelarious. They had some fat guy rolling around playing jabba with really garage style effects.

all the best!

Congratulations AndyC, Well I hope she likes movies. Having kids will give you a five year break from watching movies unless you have family around to help. All in all its a good thing. Good Luck.

AndyC

Thanks for the kind words, everybody.

Lori does love movies, including B-movies, although her enthusiasm is not nearly as great as mine. We've worked out an arrangement whereby I can inflict any cheesy, goofy or downright bizarre movie on her one evening a month. In return, she can subject me to any musical, romantic comedy or Jane Austenish period costume extravaganza she wants one night a month. We're fairly confident that neither of  us will abuse this, since any movie that is too excruciatingly bad or too gory will invite retaliation, as will anything too chick-flicky. I'll watch the Ya Ya Sisterhood, but next time, we watch Dead Alive.

I'll keep you posted on how this arrangement works out.
