After Ash's Metallica poll, I thought I'd glam things up a bit, as I know there's a few Crue fans on here.

My favourite album is "Theatre Of Pain", I think that it gets unjustly slated alot of the time compared to some of the later ones. Admittedly "Shout..." I consider to be their best, most solid record and "Generation Swine" to be the worst.

I picked Dr. Feelgood.  Not saying it's their 'best', but it's decent enough.

And it's the first album I had heard by them so it's got nostalgia going for it.  Since then I've heard the others, but will always come back to the Dr. :teddyr:

The only one I've got is Shout at the Devil.  Good music for working out  :teddyr:

Because sometimes people get sick of depressing artsy-fartsy music where some b***h with an acoustic guitar sings about raindrops and coffee cups. They're not the most technically gifted band, but their stuff is catchy rock n' roll you can swig whiskey and have a jive to...

I like Motley Crue.  I also like Denis Leary's little bit about them and other musicians he'd like to see die.  He mentioned how Lynyrd Skynard died in a plane crash, but we can't get Bon Jovi on a helicopter.  Then he mentioned that you could put Motley Crue in a locked room with enough crack cocaine for the weekend, and they'd emerge a half hour later ready for the show. :teddyr:

That's true. Bill Hicks is great isn't he?

I went with Shout at the Devil. I was in my first year of high school when it came out. That was my first Crue album and one of the very first heavy metal albums I ever bought, so I have a lot of memories connected with it.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

This is why God created Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

And are you dissing Lisa Loeb?  She's so cute.  Mean, mean clown.   :tongueout:  :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:

I'll agree with you on Molly Hatchet.

Motley Crue to me though, are like a lifestyle choice. Sure, it's music but it's also an attitude. It's the same if you picked up a Sex Pistols album - they may suck in just about every way musically, but they represent a true rebellious spirit that helped define a decade by what was on the radio and what was in people's wardrobes.

I went with Too Fast For Love.
It's got that raw unpolished sound to it that I like.
I've got it on CD and crank it up in my car every now and then.

Mr. DS

I went with Dr. Feelgood because it had most of my favs from them on that album.
