If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure this is mostly a put-on.

But, on a similar note, Playstation's social network for the PS3, PSHome, included a mostly non-stop smile for all the avatars in their last update...as well as nearly 50% more Sony-related advertising. So your avatar is happy to be bombarded by ads. Oh well, it's their world, and they make the rules. Doesn't mean I have to pat them on the back for it.
