What was your last movie of 2002?  The first of 2003?

In the waning hours of the year, my wife & I revisited Ed Wood's Jailbait (classic dialogue:  "I hope I'm happy to meet you").

After returning home from a midnight fireworks display, we settled in to start the New Year off right with Jim Wynorski's The Lost Empire ("I have no idea why this man is still alive!")

Anyone?

My last was Jim Carrey in THE MASK with my 7 year old.  Needed something fun to keep him awake till the new year.

After he went to bed I put in my new DVD of WENDIGO...now that's one hell of a movie!  Highly recommended if you're looking for some original horror.  Kind of funny because it stars Dewey from "Malcolm in the Middle" before he was on the show.  He does an excellent job though...a good little actor.

Last was Two Towers, though I also saw Insomnia recently.  Pretty good flick. First were Star Trek Nemesis, and The Man Who Would be King (seen with an old friend) we also watched the Disney animated version of Robin Hood, the friends have a two and a half year old daughter.  Movie is fun though.  We tried watching Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheikh, but half way through, said daughter woke up and wasn't going to go back to bed.  Oh well, I've got the DVD so I can watch it anytime.

Last, Reign of Fire - burn, baby, burn!
First, Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman - and what a CRAPPY way to start the new year.

Gosh, remember when the Internet was supposed to be a wonderful magical place where intelligent, articulate people shared information? Neighborhood went to hell real fast... - Anarquistador

Last: Godzilla vs Gigan (lbx version from the sci-fi channel that I finally got around to watching on new years night)

First: Brotherhood of the wolf (watched it just before, decent with really great action sequences but confusing storyline and at times uninteresting. A little bit too long to mention also.)

Actually I think my first and last was "A christmas story"

Last of 2002: Evil Dead - Yeah!
First of 2003: Near Dark - Bought the 2 disc SE with some left over xmas money, well worth the buy I thought It was pretty good save for near the ending where all rational thought was thrown out the window. (what, the sun rises in 2.5 seconds now?)

Last: Labyrinth (Sure, it's unbelievable 80s-cheese, but Jim Henson's puppets are just so damn cool)

First: Popeye (a new-year's tradition in my house as long as I can remember)

Theatrically, it began with IMPOSTOR and ended with PINNOCHIO. UGH!  Although if you count video then the last movie I saw for 2002 was BLACK MASK 2: CITY OF MASKS which was so damn goofy I laughed my ass off from beginning to end. I guess the year ended on a good note after all.

My last film of 2002 was TOMB RAIDER and the first of 2003 was ROUTE 666.

I need to see Black Mask 2, if only for Rob Van Dam's cameo...

When it comes to acting, RVD doesn't need to quit his day job anytime soon. You should really love it though when he starts transforming into this man-spider creature.

Last and first.
Last is easy. "Gangs of New York" w/ Leo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis, and Cameron Diaz and directed by Martin Scorsese.
First is harder. But, this coming weekend I plan to see "The 25th Hour" w/ Edward Norton and directed by Spike Lee. So, we'll call that one first.
