Aside from my parents and my three cinema film mentors, David Millin A.S.C, Jans Rautenbach and Vincent Cox A.S.C, I can add Princess Diana to the list.

Because of my Rhodesian / South African heritage, some people find it strange that a member of the British Royal Family, Princess Diana would have inspired me but I truly believe that she did inspire me to do better things. She may had her hassles and problems but she put those aside to assist those less fortunate than herself. Even those who weren't that fond of her were quite shattered when she died ~ my adopted sister is one of those people.

Because of her, I am a blood donor (though who would want my O+ blood is debatable  :buggedout: :buggedout:) and an organ donor, although by the time I no longer need those organs, the tune that could be played on them would be wayyyy out of key.

Who's the inspiration in your lives?

My parents inspire me to keep living.....besides them, people who try to make the world a better place inspire me to believe that maybe if I try, I can too, and that the world is not a s**tty, f**ked up place filled with greedy a***oles that only care about money and will f**k other people over to get just a little more, like that's the natural way to be, at least I like to believe it's not....
The Human Blood keeps them alive, FOREVER

My number one inspiration is my Dad.  He was a pastor for over 50 years, not one of the slick, pre-packaged televangelist variety (which many people seem to think define Christianity today), but a humble, small-town minister who would drive 60 miles a couple of times a week to see church members who were hospitalized outside of our community, who has officiated at over 1000 funerals and weddings (each), who has always been there with a word of encouragement and cheer for all of his four kids when we have been down.  He served his country with honor in World War II and Korea, then went on to pastor in over two dozen churches between 1952 and 2002.  Most people have childhood heroes; I was fortunate enough to be raised  by mine.

my Grandma. She is all around a great caring person. If i ever have a girl child i think ill name her after her.

Mr. DS

My brother who honestly introduced me to most of the stuff I dig now entertainment wise.

My parents who always had the time for me.

Mister Rogers who has and still makes me believe in kindness and manners in the world.

The writers/artitsts of Mad Magazine who inspired me to make fun of things in society and not to mention myself from time to time.

Andrew and many other webmasters who made me want to do my own review site.

Blackie Lawless, for being a great performer, being outspoken and not giving a rat ass about anyone. His lyrics I could always relate to, his music lifted me at hard times and I was glad someone else was out there, who was completely shut down emotionally and yet carried on. I used to cover W.A.S.P. songs in the bands I put together and it always turned out fun whatever the outcome, whether we disintergrated or played shows.

Bill Hicks, for making me think harder about the world around me, for hitting the nail on the head time after time, when it came to the thoughts I was having. He made me laugh and ponder more than I have ever done. He also responsible for me maintaining a thirst for knowledge.

Pretty much every 80s hairspray hanger-on for inspiring my dress style, my attitude and the fact that I'm not afraid to be in touch with my feminine side. They have given me an identity and a release that I searched for long and hard.

No-one in my family has ever inspired me or encouraged me. If they did I'd probably be an unhealthy, alcoholic, bad-tempered, cheating, irresponsible quitter......oh wait!  :buggedout:

I'm forever indebted to Andrew Borntreger, Nathan Shumate, Ken Begg, Joe Bob Briggs and William Weird for inspiring me to become a B-movie reviewer and helping me find my voice as such.

What kind of marital art(s) are you practicing?

venomx

I've been into marital arts since I was 11. I practice Karate, freestyle JiuJitsu and boxing.

I'm not bad with nunchakus ... I'm looking to get a katana some day as well.

Thanks for the answer!

Ed, Ego and Superego

My old friend Dan H.  We met when I was in Grad School.  He was not only a fun guy to hang around with, he also showed me the virtues that come with being open and friendly with the world.  He met the world on good terms, and it opened right up to him.   When my life went into the toilet he and his girlfriend were a huge anchor for my drifting self.  I was a drunken wreck, and they still were there to give me a decent meal and a quiet escape from my lousy life.   They help me stay sane until my life resolved itsef.  Bless them both.
