"I don't know the name of it, but I remember being so scared when watching it (at a friend's house), I ran out of the house screaming. I was about 6-9 years old, so 1976-1978.

The only thing I remember is an asian woman with her head down on a table, and she slowly lifts it up to reveal a disfigured face. When this happens in the movie, the characters are hit with an evil spell. I think there was a carnival scene in it too.

During the movie, it would fade to black and you'd see this woman's face lift up. It would happen several times in the movie."

The Japanese films Kwaidan and Onibaba come to mind here. :smile:
