He gets 90 days, including 60 days to work construction.  The mother gets 20 days.  Also, both were also sentenced to four years probation and have been barred from profiting from the balloon spectacle during that time.

It's all kinda old news, but still, I'm glad they got some jail time.

Can't profit off it for four years - no reality show for him  :teddyr:

Mr. DS

Maybe he can get a reality show now called "Don't Bend Over For The Soap" or "Paying Off My Lawsuits".    All I have to say is F-him...whatever they give him won't ever be enough punishment.

Jeez, the lawyer sounds like just as big a douchebag as his client. Orson Welles didn't go to jail for unintentionally causing a panic with a radio play in 1938, so dumbass shouldn't do jail time for knowingly stirring up a panic and wasting public money and manpower for his own gain? There is defending your client to the best of your ability, and there is being an a***ole. It's this sort of thing that fuels negative stereotypes of the legal profession.

I especially enjoyed reading that their friends and neighbours agree they should get jail time.
