We just got back.  George was so glad to see us, but  he was so thin . . . just a shadow of the big healthy cat he was 2 years ago.  Trish (our vet) said that he probably had a genetic kidney defect of some sort, because he was not old enough for his kidneys to go if they had been healthy and normal.  We knew that he had been getting very thin and scrawny for awhile.  He was purring on the table when they put him under . . . Trish was very gentle and he never felt a thing.

I'm gonna miss the heck out of him.

So I'm going to this Christmas party tomorrow (we're late, I know) and I'm supposed to bring a gift for a gift exchange.  In a rush I decided to bring a framed print of one of my pictures.  (This Picture)  Does that make me sound like I'm being cocky?

Oh, and my condolences to your cat indianasmith! :bluesad:

Aw! So sorry.  I lost a cat to kidney failure too.  Harold will always be my favorite cat.

I've had a ton of pets in my life, but I always seem to be closer to my cats than I am to my dogs.  Cats are just . . . gentle, I guess, in a way that dogs aren't.  We'll probably get another in a week or two.

Thanks for all the kind words.  You guys are the best!

I love all pets and it always makes feel bad when a pet is gone. It does not matter if I knew it or not. Based on what you have been saying, I assume that George was very happy. I am sorry Indianasmith.

I recorded a movie last night, but I just got a black screen - no picture.  However, the sound is fine.  How is that even possible?   :hatred:
