We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

About 16 years ago, I tracked down and interviewed 8 surviving World War One vets.  Two of them had fathers who had served in the Civil War; one of their fathers was actually born a slave. I videotaped their narratives, but I will never forget the shear joy of talking to them.
