For a film class, we were watching PSYCHO, and when it got to just before the infamous shower scene.....the film suddenly turned upside down and BACKWARDS (starting with Tony Perkins coming out of Room 1)!

How the hell the 16mm print ever got like that is known only to "Mother", but we waited several minuted while our professor and the projectionist stopped the film, spliced out the backwards section, and spliced it back in so it would run correctly.

Really strange moment!

Squishy

I showed up early for a midnight screening of "Knightriders" and met Brother Blue, all decked out in his outfit from the movie. He was like that in real life--tattoos and all--and so was his wife. Creeped me out.

Trollificus

With hours to kill waiting on a car repair, walked to a nearby cineplex and went to see Hellraiser 2. I realized that this was probably the first and only time I had ever gone to a theater BY MYSELF.

Odd enough. But when I realized that there was going to be not one other person in the theater, it got really weird. I'm sure lots of other people have experienced this, but man, it got to me.

When other people are present (and you are with someone), there is a subconscious awareness that you will, or should, act in a certain way-the absence of that awareness was...weird. I was like peeking between my fingers, 'hiding' in my seat, shouting obscenities at the screen. The kind of stuff you wouldn't normally do...well, most people, anyway.

Neon Noodle

Being the only non-stoned person in the theater watching Scary Movie. 'Nuff said.
