My favorites so far are "I'm Coming Virginia" and "Singing the Blues," though all the tracks are quality.  I see your point on "Humpty Dumpty."  I just got this album and my faves may change with more listening.
Who else 'round here'd be listening to BIX BEIDERBECKE I wonder (maybe Torgo)?  "Singin' The Blues" was my entree to that collection, of course, and I still love it.  On other tracks with a vocalist, the vocals, are, eh, corny (at best) but BIX always helps any material ascend.  "There's A Cradle In Caroline" is an exception, still a corny vocal, but the lyric is an eerie subject matter.  Your favorites are of course highlights.  Assuming you love Vol. 1 as much as I do, check out Vol. 2, definitely worthwhile.

Rev, I think you'd like this one, too:

I think I'd kill myself if I had to spend a night listening to your musical choices.    :bluesad:

I like to be "Eclectic" every now and then.  Dunno if that's the word I'm looking for, but I have quite a range of cd's under my belt.  Ranges from the truly horrible (Brady Bunch, New Kids), mid '60s bubblegum style pop (The Monkees, etc.).  Then I have stuff by Zappa, Hendrix, Sinatra, Weird Al Yankovic, Cheech and Chong, Amy Winehouse, REM, They Might Be Giants, and Talking Heads.

Hell, I even own the soundtrack to Redneck Zombies.  :buggedout:

But, once in a while I have a stressful day, and need to pick some stuff to get my mind off things, or bad things happen.

I know what you listen to; I read everybody's postings in this thread.  Stick to WEIRD AL, at least he has talent.

Al does have talent.  I'm not disagreeing about New Kids or the Brady kids and their lack of abilities, but I disagree somewhat about Rob Zombie.  He's got some chops, but his 'shock metal' style doesn't appeal to everyone's taste.

heard some new tracks off the 'new' jimi hendrix album Valleys Of Neptune the other day on the radio, in an interview with his sister Janie Hendrix. they're awsome, need to get that asap. they're mostly outtakes from Electric Ladyland and afterwards.

Party Rock by LMFAO...great album for like, going out on a Friday night drinking/clubbing.  Beyond that, well, they're not exactly Bob Dylan or Rolling Stones.  But I like it.
