Allhallowsday

I just received this from Amazon (enemy of the people) for $6.99 with no shipping charge.  It's 3 DVDs with 4 (count 'em) 4 movies on each disc.  I've only looked at the first one BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE (1969) directed by the infamous AL ADAMSON (did this guy make one good movie?) starring JOHN CARRADINE, PAULA RAYMOND (who did a lot of TV work) and ALEX D'ARCY (who played a musclebound continental creep in TOPPER TAKES A TRIP 1938, among other things).  Despite a good amount of material to work with, including skimpily clad chippies, a terrific location, and JOHN CARRADINE, this film succeeds in being just boring.  You can tell that at least two of the four girls chained in the basement were paid half union scale 'cause despite the... horror... going on around them, they don't even peep a "no!" or a "help!"  Terrible, but not in any fun way.  Next on the disc is BLOOD MANIA.  I have high hopes.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Allhallowsday are you following me? I just got this a week and a half ago... :)

and so far I'd only seen BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE from the set, althout I'd seen Terror a few months ago and loved it.

In the BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE the couple are reading on a spinning elevator, I would like to know more about that elevator [is it still around etc]... :)

The movie I just got... The Rats Are Coming! The Werewolves Are Here! (1972)  :buggedout:

Nah.  Javakoala had posted a BLOOD MANIA trailer in my Bad no redeeming value '70s Horror thread:
http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,128995.msg321678.html#msg321678  And this Gorehouse Greats collection was recommended by RCMerchant.

And, for better or worse, I recommend Blood Mania for its wild, over-the-top performance by everyone's favorite original Greedo, Ms. De Aragon. If you find you like it, I also recommend finding Point Of Terror, which also stars Peter Carpenter, who chews up scenery almost as fast as Maria De Aragon.

I got it because of Terror and that most of the movies in the set I do not own... which seems rare for cheap boxsets.
