I took my 9 year old nephew to see HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON yesterday.  He couldn't enjoy it because he was too anxious to get back home and watch the copy of DESTROY ALL PLANETS that he bought with his own money.  I almost shed a tear. 

OK so how do we give this kid karma?   

I'll pass it on to him.   

I passed on the karma and showed him the post.  He wants to make 2 corrections.  He is 10, not 9 (VERY IMPORTANT!)  And, he says he just plain didn't like HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. 

Today, he bought 3 episodes of the 1950 Flash Gordon TV show because he thought they looked "cheesy."

First, why do dentists and waiters/waitresses always want to talk to you when your mouth is full of dental instruments for the one and food or drink for the other?

Second, why does &, an abbreviation for a 3 letter 1 syllable word, and, have a 9 letter 3 syllable name, ampersand?

I just discovered the expression ratchet.  It's lke southern hip hop slang for basically "wretched" really low down and ghetto.  "ratched ass cake from wal mart"

Went to Kmart today.  As usual, only one checkout aisle was open - out of about 15.  I was a bit surprised that there was no cashier present.  Turns out he was running all over the store trying to find help with the big coupon mystery.  The woman ahead of me had a coupon and the computer wouldn't accept it.  After about 5 minutes, it was discovered that it wasn't a coupon at all - it was a mail in rebate!  Ah-ha.  So that's all straightened out, eh?  No, of course not.  The woman is buying several of the items, but there's only one rebate coupon.  They try to explain to her that it doesn't matter how many she has, the rebate is for a total purchase of over $20.  Of course this is like trying to explain algebra to a chimpanzee.

So yeah, my usual 20 minutes to buy one item from Kmart.
