"Question and Answer" by Pat Metheny with Dave Holland and Roy Haynes.  Excellent session, Metheny is in top form in an acoustic outing.

I was hearing this again in my head a lot, the Rev had brought it up, an old favorite.

You need at least 10 posts before you can post images.

Things come and go. Something I haven't listened to in ages will suddenly be found on LP or CD and I'll rediscover it all over again. Lately I've been listening to BOC's "Fire of Unknown Origin." This was an album they did in the early 80's well after their 70's heyday, and honestly, I think it's the best album they ever did. Most of their 70's albums would have one, maybe two standout songs and then the rest of the album was pure filler, whereas "Fire," at least to me, seems to be mostly very listenable stuff. The title track is good, "Burnin' For You" is phenomenal, "Veteran of the Psychic Wars" is also very good. Even "Joan Crawford," while conceptually kind of hokey, seems to work somewhat, kind of like a good b-movie.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Back in the 1990s I briefly subscribed to the BBC Music Magazine, which would send a free CD every month along with the magazine.  The performances were generally pretty good.  Listened to a couple of those, featuring Brahms Clarinet Sonatas, Vaughan Willams' "Six Studies in English Folk Song," Milhaud's "Duo concertant," and Beethoven's Piano Sonatas No. 106 ("Hammerklavier") and 111.
