Stallone or Schwarzenegger?

Both are action gods, as far as I'm concerned.  But this is one of those age old questions that many people have an opinion on.  Ginger or Mary Ann?  Apples or oranges?  Stallone or Schwarzenegger?  I'll break it down into categories, and decide who's the better of the two:

1.  Better actor.  I'd have to give the edge to Stallone.  No, not because of Rocky, but because of his stunning work in classics like Judge Dredd, Stop!  Or My Mom Will Shoot, Rambo III, Cobra, and Driven (hey, I liked Driven at least..).  Seriously though, Stallone's great in Copland, First Blood, and Nighthawks, which is a little known movie with a young Rutger Hauer.  Amongst a few other movies.

2.  Best B-MOVIES.  This is such a tough call.  On one hand, you have Stallone with Cobra, Cobra, Over the Top, the Rambos, and Cobra, yet Schwarzenegger has Red Heat, Raw Deal, COMMANDO!, PREDATOR!, Conan, Hercules in New York, Running Man, etc.  Schwazrzenegger it is, by a small margin.

3.  Most bad/train wreck/please god make it stop movies.  Another nail-biter.  I'm seriously split on this one.  Scharzenegger has Junior, Batman & Robin, End of Days, Jingle All the Way, and Conan the Destroyer, while Sly has Get Carter, Judge Dredd, Stop!  Or My Mom Will Shoot, and Oscar.  That's a 5-4 margin on my count.  Ahnuld wins.

4.  Most in need of a career facelift.  Stallone wins this one, hands down.  While Ahnuld is looking forward to making millions off of the hugely anticipated T3, Stallone is preparing for an epic role of his own.. as The Toymaker in Spy Kids 3-D.  So long Sly, we hardly knew ye.  At least Ahnuld isn't doing 3 Ninjas 5.  Hell even Dolph is keeping it real with crappy action movies.  Don't do this to yourself, Sly.  Just come out with Cobra 2/Rambo 4 and we'll all be happy.

5.  And the much debated who could win in a fight?  In the olden days, I would've given the edge to my man Arnold.  But now, especially after the surgery, Sly could just punch him in the heart and it would be bad news for the Terminator.  So then, Arnold.  But now, Sly.

6.  Bigger badass?  This is the toughest call right here.  But I'd have to give the slight edge to Arnold.  No offense Sly, but you don't mess with Matrix/Dutch/CONAN/John Kimble/Terminator/Mr. Freeze/Kruger/Quaid/Ben Richards/etc.

7.  Best legitimate mainstream movie?  Rocky says hello.  Stallone picks up the win with this one, no contest.

So I've come to a stalemate.  But if I HAD to give the edge, it'd be Ahnuld.  He's still kickin' despite surgery AND old age.  No disrespect to Sly, though.  This was a really tough call.  But in the end, Arnold wins it.

Feel free to add your own match-ups and give your own comments.  Let's hear them!

I'd have to say that, overall, Arnold has a better repertoire of entertaining movies.

However, Stallone does have him beat with the original ROCKY. You can tear Stallone apart all you want, but ROCKY is one of the best movies of the 1970s and Stallone was perfect for the role. Too bad he had to screw up the legend by making a bunch of hokey sequels.

1) Mary Ann.  She is hot, isn't full of herself, and can cook

2) Apples.  I love them, plus I don't want Mary Ann making an orange pie.

3) Arnie.  Rocky is definitely the best of the "mainstream" movies, but for an action movie, I'll take Arnie any day.  I am looking forward to Terminator 3, couldn't say the same about  Rocky 3.

Possibly, but Arnold is between 6'2 and 6'4, whereas Stallone is 5'8, Sly couldn't reach arnolds heart, also Sly has put on a ton of weight, so he couldn't jump kick Arnold in the heart either

Everyone has potentially fatal flaws, but yours involve a love of soldiers' wives, an insatiable thirst for whiskey, and the seven weak points in your left ventricle.

I can't stand Sylvester Stallone.  He comes across as an arrogant moronic monsyllabic fool.  Arnie I quite like, never takes himself too seriously and although no great character actor, has added much to some of the parts he's played.

And who are Ginger and Mary Ann?

Arnold is NOT 6'2" or even 6'4". He's 5'10" at the most and wears shoes that make him look taller.

"his stunning work in classics like Judge Dredd, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Rambo III, Cobra, and Driven"

Huh? You're kidding, right?

Dolph Lundgren

Yep.  Just kidding, Bryce.  That's why I started the next sentence with "Seriously though..".  Although I must admit that I do love Cobra, Rambo III, and Driven.  Hell even Judge Dredd had some watchable parts.  As for Stop!, well, the less said about that one, the better.

Arnold is way better than  Stalone his movies are more entertaining and he has better catch phrases

The ONLY two?? C'mon, who here hasn't been drunk and lonely enough to turn a hot eye towards 'Lovey', huh? I mean surely everyone...

Oh.

Whoops.

Notive I said the only two AVAILABLE women, 'Lovey' was married.

I'll have to go with Schwarzenegger.

The best movie he has ever been in is, in my opinion, THE TERMINATOR (the first one, not the second one which was pretty good, but nowhere near as better than the first).
