Here's a film directed by Francis Ford Coppola of all people!  It is about a kid who has a disease that ages him extremely fast.  By the time he is 10, his body is that of a 4o year old.  The movie focuses around him and I basically found it pretty interesting.  I like it, but then again, I haven't seen it in a couple of years so my opinion could change if I watch it again.  There is a lot of hate towards this movie and I am not sure what is the reason behind it.  Is it because the movie isn't on par with the director's previous works in the past, is it the actors in it, the story line, the way the movie present the disease, or is it something else?  If you have an idea, please tell me because I am confused.

For those of you who have seen the movie, what is your thoughts on it?

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

As I recall, people found it schmaltzy, unbelievable, and at that point, were starting to find Robin Williams comedy shtick in films repetitive and annoying.

I remember finding the movie simply kind of dull and mediocre.

I thought it was alright, but nothing special and a little to much schmaltz.

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

Robin Williams has done some good things on film, but overall, I've never understood why people think he's so great. The man is just not funny. Occasionally, maybe, here and there, but in general he is extremely annoying. He strikes me as a man who feels constantly under pressure to be "on," whether he has to be or not, and, sadly, most of the time he is off. And when he riffs? Oh my God, one tired cliche after another, from cliche black man to cliche gay man to cliche preacher to cliche bumpkin. Just shut the f*** up already.

Okay. I've vented.

Jack? About as good as Patch Adams.
