HI
I was listening to a local rock radio station this morning and one of the questions asked was how many redneck rockers can you name. Thus my obvious question is: How many redneck rockers can you name, here are a few to get things rolling:

Lynard Skynard,
Ted nugent,
Humble pie.
any more guys!
macabre
GEEZ! I NEVER REALISED A BRAIN WEIGHED SO MUCH.
WHY HAVE YOU GOT A KNIFE IN YOUR HAND? I HAVEN'T IT'S IN YOUR CHEST.
A MARATHON! MY WIFE COULDN'T RUN A BATH WITHOUT FEELING TIRED.

Humble Pie is British.
I can think of some:

Marshall Tucker Band
Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Molly Hatchett
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Flick James

I was going to say Molly Hatchett

38 Special is another one.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Oscar

Who could forget the kings of southern fried rock, THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND!

macabre

ZZ Top
Georgia Satellites
Kid Rock

Many classify Tom Petty as a Southern rocker, but I'm not sure about "redneck."
"They tap dance not, neither do they fart." --Greensleeves, on the Fig Men of the Imagination, in "Twice Upon a Time."

Looks like just about everybody I can name of the top of my head has been named. Even the Georgia Satellites.

Would Credence fit here?

"Join me in the abyss of savings."

Creedence I'm not sure would fit; they're from California.  They just TRY to sound like they're redneckish, singing about bayous and cottonfields and such.  Kind of like Bon Jovi singing about being a cowboy, when he's from New Jersey.  Not buying it!  :bouncegiggle:
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

AndyC

I didn't know that. Just assumed they had to be singing about what they knew.

See I'm with you there on Creedence although I see RR's point.  When I was DJ on a classic rock station they'd always be lumped into our "redneck weekends".

CCR definitely belong on any "redneck Rockers" list... it's not just about where a band is from, it's also what they sound like, or even, where they sound like...  :teddyr:
