Check out the 'blood' at 7:33.

I remember that blood splatter from when I saw this in the theater.  The audience gasped, as if it were a realistic and shocking special effect.

I really enjoy these disaster movies from the 1970s...they're surprisingly good fun. It's always a plus for me too when they star the one and only Charlton Heston, one of my all time favourite actors.
