okay! i am sure this as been done before but anyway here i go, i shall give three links which have something in common,
example: star wars, road safety, weightlifting:
the answer to this would be : Dave prowse,
Dave prowse was a champion weight lifter and he made  a very successful advert campaign for road safety, and of course he was darth vader

so here is my next one, without the answer,

William shatner, Burt Lancaster,Rod Serling:

I don't know if this is the connection you're looking for, but everyone one of them has worked with at least one of the others at some point in their careers.

William Shatner appeared worked with Rod Serling in at least two episodes of The Twilight Zone, most prominantly the Nightmare at 20000 Feet episode. He also worked with Burt Lancaster in the 1961 film Judgment at Nuremburg.

Burt Lancaster worked with William Shatner in the above example. He also worked on the 1964 film Seven Days in May, based on the novel, which was adapted for the screen by Rod Serling.

Now, do I wait to see if I was correct before posting my three links?

You are correct, except that the movie I had in mind for Dennis Hopper was True Grit. I didn't know he was also in Sons of Katie Elder
