Yesterday at Monster-Mania 16, a freelance radio reporter who was working on a story for Sirius Radio asked me some questions regarding Monster-Mania and the horror genre in general.

I don't have Sirius Radio, but he said he would definitely get me an audio file through email if it ends up being used and he would try to give it to me anyway even if I'm not used.

If anybody has Sirius Radio I would really appreciate it if you kept an ear out for me and anything Monster-Mania related! My name is Andrew/Andy and the reporter's name was Bob.

Some questions that were asked and my answers:

Q: Who would win in a fight: Freddy Krueger or the shark from Jaws?
A: Freddy Krueger, definitely!

Q: Do you think being at Monster-Mania increases your chances of getting laid?
A: I would not know!

Some questions I had trouble thinking up good answers for because I was on the spot (I could have done much better if I had time to think!), but I did my best!

Q: What celebrity would you most like to see killed in a horror movie and how?
A:  Lindsay Lohan dropped headfirst into spinning helicopter blades.

Once I was asked to give my impression of a possessed person from The Exorcist:

Me growling nastily: "Your mother sucks cocks in hell, Karras, you faithless slime!" (I really hope none of my very religious relatives have Sirius Radio!)

Another time I was simply asked to give a blood-curdling scream!

Anyway, I would appreciate it if any Sirius listeners kept their ears out! Does anybody know what channel(s)/station(s) this would be on?

They played some of these clips on Howard Stern.  Don't know if the guy asking questions were from his show directly, but he was playing people screaming, talking about horror movies and was ridiculing them for being there.  Think the guy works for another station but they plaed the tapes.

Yeah, the guy that interviewed me is a freelance reporter who works for various radio stations/companies. Was it specifically about Monster-Mania 16?

The clips they played that I heard were specifically about Monster Mania 16.  It started with a discussion about Howard sending a guy to the Emmy's and asking the celebrities oddball questions ranging from their acting method to their sex life, then went off about various other things, then mentioned that some guy that works freelance for Sirius sometimes went to Monster Mania and got interviews with the nerds (his words) who attend.  Then he played clips of interviews like the one you mentioned, and Howard was saying that these are the guys who're 30, living in their mom's basements, etc., then got mad when one fan there mentioned in his interview that he paid $30 for a movie poster autographed by John Carpenter.  Then he mentioned that as a successful movie director, John Carpenter: A.) shouldn't be at a lame horror convention, and B.) if he is at a lame convention, should be there out of courtesy and not charging for autographed pictures when he's made a decent living doing movies.

But basically, yeah they used them to make fun of the guys that were interviewed.

lol... if it wasnt for radio Howard Stern would be smoking pot and living in his mother's basement.  :hatred: (It annoys me when these type of people think they are God's greatest gift.)

I'm happy for you Sleepyskull...

Thanks! I will try through their website, but the reporter did not have any information he could give me, so it will be hard if not impossible.

True.  Although he is pretty talented and funny, so I dunno.  I don't think he think's he's God's greatest gift, all in fun, he does have to fill 5 hours of radio a day.  Kinda hard to do, so gotta pick on everyone.

It is cool for Sleepyskull though.  Pretty decent getting on the radio.
