Most influential movies of all time

Sorry Burgo for saying u said great. My intention remains though, just because something causes spin offs doesnt make it an influential movie to the rest of the world. For instance Friday the 13th and Halloween may have been influential to movie studios by causing tons of remakes both good (Scream) and bad (Urban Legends). If this is the case than other influential movies would be:

Jurassic Park: Many sequals as well as started the recent craze of using animatronics and CGI, however to not nearly as much success as in this movie.

Rush Hour: spawned the recent craze for buddy martial arts/spy movies, both good (Romeo Must Die, Shanghai Noon) and bad (I Spy and soon Bulletproof Monk.)

However I thought you meant influential as creating new forms of movie making (I guess Jurassic Park could fit here) or that influenced the American people by starting a craze or new trend.  I would put in this category.

Star Wars: Jedi may soon become an internationally realized religion, plus it shapes everyone's life somehow, everyone knows the name Luke, Vader, part of American culture

and the ones I mentioned in the last post.

No Lethal Weapon didnt, how old is that movie. Rush Hour was the one because it made more money. In fact I believe Rush Hour inspired Lethal Weapon to make its fourth installment and cast the undeniably cool Jet Li as a bad guy where he shines.

EASY RIDER [This movie I dont like but I'm willing to give credit where its due] without this movie you would never have GODFATHER. Because of its mind blowing ending, it has proven that extreame violence and gore are not limited in a Horror film.

DEATHRACE 2000, this movie spawned MAD MAX.
