What the hell is it with japanese people and octopuses?

Seriously, it freaks me out.

Ironic, seeing as you have a Cthulu avatar.  :)

True, but Cthulhu only drives people insane.
The octopuses' relationship with japanese people is a little bit more....intimate.
Way, WAY too intimate.

Frankenstein's monster is certainly not a zombie.

Frankenstein was written by Mary Shelley, and the details of how the monster was made in the original novel were ambiguous. Dr. Frankenstein gathered "materials" from various sources, charnel-houses, a dissecting room, and even a slaughterhouse, suggesting that the monster contained non-human inanimate material as well. So it is very ambiguous. One thing is certain, the monster was not constructed by sewing together parts from different cadavers. That popularization was due to the movies trying to find a way to justify the creation of the monster in a suitable horrifying way that audiences could grasp, as the source, Mary Shelley's novel, was too ambiguous.

My best take is that Dr. Frankenstein collected various biological but inanimate materials, some human and some not, and fashioned it into a very large and monstrous form, which he was able to animate. The creature has not soul, and no direct connection to any particular previously living entity, and therefore the tragic and pitiful creature has life but no identity. The closest match to any folkloric creature that I can fathom is the golem of jewish folklore, but that's just my guess.

My random thought..

My husband got called a scab piece of s**t today. Not cool. I would have been mighty surly had I been there to hear it.

I will be eventually...
i have alot going on in my personal life. Until then, I will just endlessly smoke, go without sleep and seclude myself in the house. Other than that, I will be alright and life goes on.
