Generic Brands Of Mainstream Items

Do you ever buy a generic version of something and still refer to it as it's main brand counterpart?  For example, no matter what lip balm I buy I refer to it as a "Chapstick".

Oh yeah, any window cleaner is Windex, and any furniture polish is Pledge.

I've noticed that Xerox has lost its primacy. Now instead of people saying they need to "Xerox" something they use the word "photocopy."

Frisbee is used over "flying disc."

I usually don't buy generic brands (I'm one of those fools who believes the television commercials).  However, when I was a kid, I referred to any brand of cola as "Coke."

By the way, my ass knows when I wipe it with anything other than Charmin.
