okay, since there's a best comic book characters, why not do a bad comic book characters? we can go past 100.

1) The Bimbos in Bimbos in Time (I'm not kidding)
2) The Kool-Aid man
yeah no.

WingedSerpent

3.  Impossible Man.
He's the Mr. Mxysplx of the Marvel universe.  There's even a running joke between the compaines that the two characters are the same being.  It's been reference in both Superman and Fantastic Four.

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Are we mainly talking mainstream comics, or the Adult ones as well?

Ah, never mind.

4. The Chick From Guiding Light (dunno her name).

Yes, there was an episode of the daytime soap Guiding Light where one of the women gets into an electrical accident and she temporarily gains superpowers.  They then made a comic book sequel  where she regains her powers (for a single issue) and joins up with Iron Man and the Avengers.

5. The Slug (Captain America)

He's a real fat dude (and I don't mean he just "looks fat but is actually a powerhouse" like The Kingpin), no, this guy is like whale fat.  That's it.  Really.

The Burgomaster

10 -14

The villains in this picture.  I always thought this was one of the silliest issues of DAREDEVIL ever.  And the story went on for 2 consecutive issues, plus these guys showed up again in later issues.  Sheesh.

21.) Skin- Member of Generation X.

I dunno how others feel about Generation X, but I kinda liked them except Skin.

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

22.) Frank Miller's Batman from All Star Batman and Robin
(no comment)
yeah no.

23. I always thought Volstagg from Thor was pretty stupid and annoying.. I'm sure he was meant to be, as a comical sidekick character, but he really didn't do anything for me.

I'm not proud to say this, but I OWN the graphic novel.........

24) Chuck Norris
yeah no.

Hammock Rider

#11

25. Cletus Kassidy aka Carnage

Venom is a great character. There were some really good Venom stories out there. He's sort of the anti-Spiderman. He's a great challenge to Spidey and an interesting way to see what Peter Parker 's life might have been like had he chosen to live a different life. I think he was the last great Spiderman villain Marvel ever created.
Carnage is just cashing in on a fad. I'm surprised there wasn't a whole "Symbiote Family" created to increase sales ala The Batman Family. To me he's emblematic of all the cr@p that Marvel put out in the 90's.

I might be wrong as I'm not really a comic reader, but I think they did eventually introduce a bunch of other symbiotes.

Yeah.  There have been a number.  They all suck but Venom.

The one thing I will say is I think Carnage LOOKS cool in some of the better artwork.
