Slasher victims who deserve it

Ever see a slasher film where the killer has quite legitimate beefs with the characters in the film?  Generally speaking, the killer goes overboard in his revenge of course, but I find it fascinating when you can really see why he's doing what he's doing.  It's relatively rare though.

Examples that come to mind: Cropsey in the Burning, where kids horribly burned him by pulling a pretty damn mean and dangerous prank.

The girls in House on Sorority Row, who do a HORRIBLE prank, probably the most obviously dangerous prank I've seen in a film like it.  They didn't really deserve to DIE (except the girl whose idea the prank is, maybe) but they certainly deserved a thorough beating after that.

I know I've seen a few others.  Any good ones?

Hmmm...

Revenge is a good motivator especially when your still seeking for revenge decades later... But saddly too many of these movies make annoying characters that I just dont care about and wish they die (which seems to be the intent of the slasher film)

I like my slashers when...

the logic makes almost no or very little sense...

The slasher is a pervert...

Or there's an actual plot.

I guess the kids in Prom Night had it comin'.  Didn't they taunt one kid until he fell out the window, then they left him for dead.  So he came back for his revenge years later.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

I don't remember the names, but a ton of people in Pumpkinhead 2: Bloodwings or some crap like that really had it coming.  That guy that ran the old lady over, broke into her house, stole her stuff, hit her on the head with his flashlight, and then set the place on fire with her in it so had it coming.  SpoonyOne was completely right about him being an a*****e.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Mean Machine

Not really a slasher movie, but most of the people who got whacked in "Carrie" had it coming, except for the one teacher.

I consider "victims who deserve it" a simptom that I'm watching a bad movie. There are a few films out there that are good and get away with it, such as Mario Bava's "Twitch of a dead nerve", but they're the exception.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

"I Know What You Did Last Summer" all the way. That's what happens when you fail to report a hit and run in a horror movie. I really can't remember if the movie was good or not...I saw it when I was, what, 13? I can't trust my 13 year-old self's taste in much of anything.

^ I watched it a few weeks ago and came into say they deserved it, and oh the movie did suck.

I'd say most of the kids in the Friday The 13th series.  They're all kind of dumb potheads.

They deserve to die for being dumb and smoking weed?

I'd almost agree on House on Sorority Row though; for all Eric knew that gun had real bullets in it, those girls killed his mom on purpose, and they sure as hell weren't admitting anything in remorse. No Jason crap with killing everyone who even sets foot on your campground (except for the one Weird Al looking fellow). Alternate character interpretation says there was very little mentally wrong with Eric, and the whole film can be seen as more a Death Wish style revenge film than horror >.> .

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

The first couple of movies, you can't blame them. They don't know that someone's sneaking around killing people. Toward the end of the original series, well, you'd think the mass murders every summer would have convinced them to move years ago. Mind you, it could be that the smarter ones actually did move away, and we just get to see some of the people who couldn't put two and two together getting killed. So, yeah, at least some of them were just too dumb to live.

If we can talk about individuals that you wait so long throughout the movie to finally buy the farm (and when they do, it feels really good  :bouncegiggle:); a few:

-The snotty girl Melissa in Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood who gets a hatchet in her face
-The jerk couple (John Travolta and Nancy Allen) who die in a fiery car crash for dumping pig's blood on Carrie
-Krug from Last House On The Left.  Bad (not in a good way IMO) flick, but memorable villain.  Murders 2 teenagers, stays at one of the girls' parent's house, and gets chainsawed.
-Clarence Boddicker from Robocop!  Responsible for ventilating Robo's human form, and receives a blade in his neck for his efforts.

Everyone in the Rob Zombie Halloween flicks....
That guy has really annoyed me today.

Stay outta my way, Zombie.

Melissa from Friday the 13th part VII: The New Blood. Her b***hy attitudes, treacherous nature and snobby personality made her very deserving of getting the axe to the face.
