Sad to say Ingrid Pitt, the beloved Hammer horror icon and world's sexiest vampire, has passed away at the age of 73.

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Sad, she was an icon.  I saw her last performance in SEA OF DUST: not a great flick or a great role, but she gave it her all and looked happy to be back on the screen, even in a low-budget movie.  R.I.P.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Pitt is how a whole generation of Monster Kids discovered girls!

According to those who knew her, she was a sweet and delightfully eccentric woman who adored her fans.

:bluesad: :bluesad: :bluesad: R.I.P. - what a great talent she was. So sorry to hear this news...so many fims, particularly Hammer ones, would never have been the same without her.

RIP Ingrid: the films I saw her in as a kid and teenager ~ Where Eagles Dare and |Who Dares Wins ~ will always be with me, as will you.  :bluesad:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Oh man, not to mention those absolutely sizzling nude scenes in The Vampire Lovers, chief among the when she got out of the tub and showed us all just why the women of old ruled...all natural, no fillers or preservatives.  :teddyr:

Between her and Barbara Steele (and Kay Parker and Lisa DeLeeuw to salute the seedier side of the biz) it's a wonder us young guys didn't did (sorry, that's DIE) of a heart attack!  :bouncegiggle:

R.I.P. miss Pitt. You were an original. Thanks for the memories, and for being one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the silver screen. I raise my glass to you

I recall seeing the ad for the VAMPIRE LOVERS as a kid on late night TV....too bad I was too young to go see it.

Her onscreen horrors were nothing compared to her real life horror. As a child, she was in a Nazi concentration camp.
A brave woman,a great actress.
