The Burgomaster

I have actually completely deleted the entire decade of the 80s from my life. My memories jump from 1979 right up to 1990.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Funny, I attempted to do the same.  I don't remembert how well I've succeded .
I had forgotten all about those 1982 movies, can't say I disagree with the selections though did you have to remind us of that Pink Panther fiasco?  Ugh.

But how bad, exactly, can a group named "The Singing Chicken Ranch Whores" be?

I haven't checked out the winners, but the 80s gave us lots of great cheese, not so great cheese, and some genuine classics.  Of the current roster, I have a soft spot in my heart for The Cannonball Run.  It's one of those bad movies I have never tired of watching.  I even owned the novelization of it, written by one Michael Avallone (who penned a novelization of Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3-D that same year, which I likewise owned) at one point.  I also have soft spots for Halloween 3 (the movie does feature a wonderful score by Carpenter/Howarth and Dean Cundy's to be expected beautiful photography), Friday the 13th Part 3 (of all the series, it is this one I have seen the most, not by choice though.  When the family moved over seas, it was one of the few movies I had a copy of to watch), and Amityville II: The Possession, which is a masterwork of exploitative sleaze cinema.  Where is the Collector's Edition DVD?

Just goes to show if you need a greasy man, you called Burt Young.

(And if not him, Dan Hadeya.)

Or Joe (Maniac) Spinell, may he rest in peace.
