As some of you might remember from a previous posting I did, I've been following the blog of a rather... interesting young lady who works as a paramedic.  Among other things, her long time boyfriend recently proposed to her and her response (after giving a casual, "Yes' not thinking he was serious) was, "Are you down on one knee?  That's like, the gayest thing you've ever done!"

So, of course, an interesting young woman like this would obviously have something awesome for a wedding cake.  None of that layers of white frosting with a bride and groom on top, no sir!  She wanted the Stay Puft Marshmallow man scene from Ghostbusters, which depictions of her and her fiancĂ©e dressed up as Ghostbuster fighting proton lasers at it.

No, I am not making any of this up.

See below:

Technically, Slimer wasn't in this scene, but we'll let that one pass cause it's awesome.

The happy couple as Ghostbusters!

Then, when they flipped off the lights, all the guests got another visual treat.

Anyway, like I said, a very interesting woman.  I don't know what the marriage will be like, but I get the feeling it definitely WON'T be boring.

Oh, yeah, according to the people who made the cake, they said their next one will be a scene from the film Alien.  I'll keep you guys posted.

Pretty decent cake.

It'd be something I'd do.

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

An interesting cake. One that the bride and groom and their guests will never forget. My congratulations go out to the couple, and I hope their marriage will be long and fruitful. My congratulations also go out to whoever made the cake.

That's very cute; I'd go for something like that.
Through the darkness of future past
The magician longs to see
One chance opts between two worlds
Fire walk with me

Can't believe more people on this site aren't talking about how freaking awesome this is.

And I should point out, this was the BRIDE'S idea!
