I don't think there's really anything I waited my whole life to see, plus I''m still pretty young, but here's some I really looked forward to seeing:

Blade Runner - Wouldn't call it a piece of crap, but a disappointment it was.

Dogma - Loved Smith's first three films, then he made this. Dull dull unfunny piece of crap.

Jay and Silent Bob - I thought he may redeem himself with this one, but all it did was take purile pee-pee jokes to new levels or inanity.

Waited fifteen years to see it, was totally let down.  Would have been let down if I'd seen it when I was still a little kid.

The only movie that I grew up and was somehow barred from seeing (i.e. it never played on local TV and video wasn't around yet, yeah I'm that  old) was Island of Terror, but it ain't crap.

There were films I was banned from seeing when I was younger. Some that I can remember were Porky's, Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs, all of which I finally saw when I was about 13/14.  But none of them were disappointments , I still really like all three. Maybe if I hadn't been sheilded from weird films I wouldn't like them so much now.  There's something to ponder.

One I just remembered was THE VALACHI PAPERS. I remember seeing the newspaper ads and movie posters when I was a kid back in the 1970s. They showed a guy slumped in a barber chair, covered in blood. I thought it would be a great gangster movie.

I finally saw it on HBO or Cinemax in the late 1980s or so. What a piece of crap. Whoever came up with the bright idea of casting Charles Bronson as an Italian hitman should be banned from the film industry forever. What a lousy movie.

Pulp Fiction was a big disappointment for me, I was really looking forward to seeing what inspired Go, and it sucked.

I was also really awaiting Jurassic Park 2, but what can I say, it is heads and tails above number 3.

I remember really really wanting to see The Island of Dr. Moreu with Val Kilmer and SURPRISE, what a piece of crap.
Same with Hannibal.


Reign of Fire was extraordinarily disappointing as was the Time Machine Remake, for while both had good beginnings and good ideas, they swiftly deteriorated from there.


The only movie I have been waiting for my whole 19 years was Spider Man, and thank god it was good.

The Sting.. .A long story that starts with a cheating father, who's date was talking about the characters on the movie to my mom... (Ive havent seen it yet... I guess I dont have the heart to see it.)

Soup Nuts... I would love to see this movie! (I would like to see how much of an ass is Ted H. is to Moe and the boys.)

London After Midnight... I think the story goes that its forever lost in a fire in the 1960's, so I guess I have a very long wait here...

I really was disappointed at Backdraft, I expected so much more and it was more of a dud. Stephen Baldwin is the most wretched actor to ever watch.

A Beautiful Mind... Why does Hollywood give best picture to a hackneyed overdone, confusing piece of crap.... I suspect it is cuz all Ed Harris movies must get some sort of win, God knows why.

Unusual Suspects.... It was good, but since I hadnt seen it until this year, I feel this "surprise" ending thing was soooo lame.

The 13th Warrior.... You go to hell Banderes, you go to hell and you die there.....

I've seen Unusual Suspects back then and I do agree here... it was very lame!

I think that those that do like A Beautiful Mind has enjoyed the ending on Unusual Suspects. (Mainly those voting for the Oscars)

Starship Troopers.  Not that I thought it was pure crap.  Actually, I found it entertaining but as an honest adaptation it left a lot to be desired.  The change in tone and purpose felt as ill-advised as the unrequested camp in Batman & Robin.

NIghtfall (1988).  What a waste.

Most movies that cite H. P. Lovecraft in the credits.

I've been very disappointed by many movies with strong praise, but most don't qualify as "waited all life."

Are you talking about the fantastic Brian Singer crime thriller, Usual Suspects or another film?  If it is Usual Suspects, then what didn't you like about it.  It is tense, smart, and very far from boring.
