The Megashark is back, after having apparently turned the giant octopus into several servings of calamari, and gobbling up submarines, torpedoes, and helicopters with abandon in this goofy and, ultimately, boring sequel to MEGASHARK VERSUS GIANT OCTOPUS.  Jaleel White, formerly known as Steve Urkel on "Family Matters", is a Navy sonar officer determined to destroy the great shark that sunk the ship with his fiancee on it.  Robert Picardo (The Doctor from STAR TREK: Voyager) is an admiral tasked with killing the toothy terror before it can snag anymore lowflying jetliners from the sky.
But wait!  There's a new wrinkle!  Fresh from the depths of an African coal mine, a 1500 foot female crocodile has emerged and is laying eggs all over the globe!  Eggs that the Megashark is gobbling up like Chicken McNuggets!  Will Jaleel avenge his lost ladylove?  Will Picardo get to smoke his expensive Cuban cigar?  Will they ever quit using the same loop of stock footage every time they want to show the "baby" Crocosaurs in action?  Can you stay awake through this two hour piece of crap to find out???

Bad.  Not in the "let's give the bird to our entire audience" bad sense, like MACGRUBER or LAND OF THE LOST.  But more "bad" in the sense of "let's throw all pretense at reality out the window and see how many cliches we can work into one movie" bad.  I mean, come on, a 1500 FOOT crocodile????  That is more than 20 times as long as the largest croc ever found in the fossil record!!  Not to mention their silly Megaladon, which has grown from the 400 foot behemoth in the first movie to a creature that is now somewhere in the vicinity of 1000 feet long! This movie is as dumb as a Jerry Springer audience member and as cheesy as the Wisconsin State Fair!

In other words, definitely required BMDO member viewing.  Indy sez check it out!! :teddyr:

Well that's good and all Indy, but I dunno.  If it is anything like that last movie, then all the best scenes were in that trailer and it'll be dreadfully boring.  I may look into this later.

I dunno about you, but the CGI has shockingly gotten worse if you ask me.  When that shark jumped the battleship, I laughed at the production values there.

The CGI was truly terrible in this one.  The movie as a whole put me to sleep three different times!  But we are BAD movie lovers, right?  And this is a BAD movie?  Don't we have to give it SOME love?

Oh no...now this one is on the "must see" list.

My children (5 and 8) will love this.  They love over-the-top reptiles, what with DINOCROC being a Saturday afternoon favorite.

1500 ft croc?  Oh man, the siren call...

I just recently (Few days ago) watch MSVSGO and I was entertained by it. So hopefully this one will do the same.

I can imagine him making a mistake and then saying "Did I do that?"  :teddyr:

I love the way Urkel wants to kill the thing because it killed his fiancĂ©e - not because it killed everybody on the ship.  That's just so SyFy.

When did logic ever enter into these films?
Logic don't enter these films, logic don't even walk by and say 'howdie'. No, logic takes out a restraining order and says 'back off jack, I got a CCW!"

Dinocroc had a lot more action and much better CG than Megashark.  Just don't say I didn't warn you.

Steve Urkel vs Giant Killer Shark vs giant killer crocodile.  How can you not love that idea?  The only thing missing is for Urkel to somehow become the NEW Colossal Beast and fight the shark and the crocodile.

Maybe that'll be the next movie.   Hopefully they'll also be able to get Alfonso Ribeiro for it.

Raffine

I also found MEGASHARK VERSUS GIANT OCTOPUS to be incredibly boring, with only a couple of fun scenes. But with Urkel, giant 'gator eggs, 1,000 ft sharks I just might give this one a look-see.

Now, OCTOSHARK - that's a great movie!

You took the words right outta' my mouth on that one, Trev.  You can't think of Jaleel White at any age and not have Urkel come to mind.  Oh well, one Megashark vs. Giant Octopus coming right up...   :bouncegiggle:

I root for Crocosaurus! That Giant Octopus was CHEATED!

They should at some point do a "Megashark: Final Wars" feature that includes Giant Octopus, Crocosaurus, Sharktopus, Dinocroc, Supergator, Megasnake, Frankenfish, Train-Eating Snake, Ice Spiders, Boa, Python, Komodo, Cobra... and Feedback ...But no Megashark, because the Scifi channel is weird like that >.> .
