Died from cancer, age 64.  I'll remember him most for his roles in Dragonheart and Jurassic Park 2, though I saw him in an enormous number of films.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

RIP, fella.

He was a great actor.

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

Ah, that's a shame. I always liked Pete Postlethwaite. He spent a good many years as a character actor in some very good films. Seems he was just hitting his stride as an actor with genuine gravitas.

"Why rail'st thou on thy birth, the heaven, and earth?
Since birth and heaven and earth, all three do meet
In thee at once..."
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Mr. DS

I remember him most for his role in The Usual Suspects.  But of course he was one of those "that guy" actors who showed up in many films and always gave a great performance.  RIP Mr. Postlewaite

I'll always remember him as David in "Alien 3" and as Brother Gilbert in "Dragonheart". He may not have been a hugely popular actor, but I've always thought that he was awesome.

R.I.P.

One of my favorite "that guy" actors.  :bluesad:

Warp Ninja X

He was also one my favorite "that guy" actors. He was great in Dragonheart, Rat, and Crimetime. R.I.P Mr. Postlethwaite. :bluesad:

Don't forget his turn as District Attorney Hallibird in AMISTAD.  Great performance.

Flick James

A lesser known but amazing role, In the Name of the Father. He went absolutely toe-to-toe with Daniel Day Lewis on quality of performance.
