Bane!  That's right Bane!  For those of you who are not familiar with him, please refer to the awesome comic series Batman: Knightfall and for heaven's sake, do not think of him from Batman & Robin.

Oh yeah, there's another thing as well:

Thank friggin' God...I hope they don't screw this up.  It has so much potential

Good actors/actresses and good villians, yeah there is a lot of potential here.  Since Christopher Nolan hasn't disappointed me yet, I'm sure he'll be able to pull this off.

For me Bane is a horribly underrated villain.  He slowly calculated on how he could destroy Batman mentally and physically and kicked the ever loving sh!t out of the caped crusader.  I love him as a villain and they did more than bend the character over in the George Clooney massacre.  I disliked the Dark Knight but this has perked my interest.

Funny they opted out of the Riddler.  I always felt if he was done in a dark manner he'd be a hell of a villain.

Me and my cousin was disgusting, i mean discussing that the next Batman villain should be a female, and what do we have here. Again, don't screw up Bane-Total Badass, more badass than The Joker in my Opinion.
yeah no.

Good news! I found this film on Bale's IMDB! Here's details on the film!

Seeing how this is another one of Nolan's Batman films it's almost guaranteed to be awesome.

Bane will be portrayed by Tom Hardy. The guy from "INCEPTION" who can shape-shift.

I'll go with that one...Jim Carrey's Riddler, and that of Frank Gorshin (on the 1960's Batman TV show) were very manic and off the wall, but obviously not played for sinister effect. And, out of curiosity, I too would like to see a more evil side to the character.

We've already seen what playing the character to the hilt for evil's sake did for the Joker in The Dark Knight..

I'm not a fan of Bane. Kind of a product of the '90s, which really, really had it in for established characters. Superman died, Batman broke his back, the Green Lantern went insane and killed everybody... The less said about Azrael the better.

I will say that for the quasi-realistic tone the new movies are going for, Bane is probably the most suited villain. Whether that's a weakness or not, I'll wait for the movie to figure out. Tom Hardy has potential.

I do find it amusing there's a backlash against Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The original backlash against Heath Ledger as the Joker was enormous, and now people are falling over themselves to praise him.

I think Batman Begins was a very strong film, and The Dark Knight I found phenomenal. Will the new film keep up the standard? Well, we'll see.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Interesting thing though about Azrael that he was a more of a take that to people wanted a darker and gritter Batman and show them that it would be a bad idea.

As a product of 90's, Bane is much better than the other characters to come out, like say Image's collection of superheroes and villians (besides maybe the Maxx).
