Low-budget reality TV. Hate it. Lately, my wife has taken to watching shows about children's beauty pageants. I don't understand the appeal. Morbid curiosity, I suppose. I look at those shows and I don't scream, but I do feel very, very depressed at the "parenting" I see, not to mention the level of shallowness and just plain stupidity.

And I agree...what corner of the U.S. did these spoiled b!tches come from?  Compared to them, most people in New Jersey look somewhat polite and mannered!

Agreed.  These kids are growing up way too fast and they will never have normal lives. They grow up expecting everyhting to be thier way, when they want it and how they want it, with the usual tragedies attached.

Anyway, what TV moments make me scream?

Every time Jerry Springer is on....I have no idea why that show is so popular.  I HATE IT.

It's the same damn thing every time. Stereotypical white trash folk discuss and deal with their infidelity, laced with live action wraparound catfights or a round of boxing over some worthless broad.  It's the most worthless show on TV and a waste of airtime.

I'd say a good percentage of TLC programing makes me grown. 

TLC went from a channel that made up the majority of my TV viewing in the 90s, to a collection of some of the most mindless sh!te on television today.

Its a bit of an oxymoron to call it the "learning" channel.  What can you learn from it?  Being an annoying family with way too many kids can make you a millionaire while doing nothing of interest on camera. F-that sh!t man...

I haven't seen TNA in over a month, but before I left, I screamed when Jeff F'ing Jarrett nearly killed Kurt Angle. Tazz had to literary get out if his seat and stop Jeff from continuing assault Kurt. I saw a recap the other day, and when Kurt's ex came on, I screamed b***h because she knew what Jeff did and didn't let Kurt get his revenge. Jeff thinks that he's a champion, he is- The Champion of being Eric Bischoff's and Hulk Hogan's b***h!

I don't understand how these women are role models.  They are selfish, shallow, self absorbed, money hungry s!uts and I'm not surprised regular women turn into bridezillas if they think these characters are anything positive to look up to!

Just like Jersey Shore..  The show has done damage to an already tarnished image because of the loud, rude, assertive aggressive muscle-headed people that populate that part of New Jersey.  Not to mention the complaints from a few Italian-American groups over the image it presents.

But that's MTV for you... it's all about image and the hell with substance. No wonder our kids are tunring out to be self-entitled, assertive agressive little beasts.

I've never seen Jersey Shore (I don't watch much tv apart from the news).  But I've heard a lot of people complaining about how truly awful it is.

Seriously, anyone who calls himself The Situation, is deluded and uneducated on a massive scale.
