Randy lay there like a slug, it was his only defense.

I love that line.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Another great small moment is when the Wicked Witch approaches Ralphie in the Santa line and Ralphie tells her "Don't bother me. I'm thinking."

And then you had that weird kid with the goggles, who stood in line with Ralphie, who kept telling him, "I like Santa." I'm sure he did....

The wife and I went to a screening of the movie this year (we both LOVE it) and Peter Billingsley (Ralphie) was there and did a Q & A after the movie. He said that this kid was just supposed to be an extra and was not supposed to be saying all of that stuff. So, Ralphie's annoyed reaction to the kid telling him about the stuff that he liked was just the actor's honest reaction to what was happening. They liked it so much that they kept it in...
Check out my movie reviews and articles at: www.cinedump.com

Or, don\\\'t check them out - see if I care. You\\\'re not my real mom anyway. Unless, you are. In which case, whatever, I\\\'ll do what I want. It\\\'s my hot body. Y\\\'all don\\\'t know me.

I love that kind of trivia.

BTW, Peter Billingsley still does some small roles here and there and also writes and directs. He is a good friend of Vince Vaughn and directed Couples Retreat. I'm not a big fan of the last few movies Vince has done, but when I found out that lil' old Ralphie did a small role in Four Christmases as a ticket agent at the airport at the beginning of the movie, I immediately watched the scene. He didn't have many lines, but you could tell it was him and he gave a couple of those expressions with those blue eyes and that puppy-dog expression. That was when you knew it was him. The eyes.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

On the special edition DVD, they have a little featurette with Billingsley and the guys who played Flick, Schwartz and Scut Farkus. They've gotten older, but they don't look all that different today. It was pretty cool hearing some of the stuff that went on behind the scenes, both on and off the set. Like the kids not being told what was in the crate, so their reaction to the leg lamp was more genuine. And the pranks they played around the hotel where everybody was staying. Having a bunch of food delivered to Darren McGavin, stuff like that. They also talk about how people recognize them and some of the funny reactions people have.

Backstage stories are always cool.

I remember Billy Mumy and I talking at one Chiller Theatre about 5 years back.

It was about the season one ender for Lost In Space, "Follow The Leader." A big fave of mine btw. Anyway, in one scene, a possessed Prof. Robinson (Guy Williams) is fighting Major West (Mark Goddard) with an alien sword that gives sparks when it hits. Mark was holding a shield.

The scene calls for Guy to knock Mark down and then stand over him and subdue him with a gauntlet that shot a knife blade out of the knuckles. Noone told Mark about the blade....the look of terror on Mark's face when it came out was genuine because he was scared sh!tless.

That caused some heat between Mark, Guy, and Irwin Allen because Mark was PO'ed that noone told him. However, Mark's anger burned less brighter when he got a couple of extra hundred dollars in his paycheck for his troubles

If you like sweet "Where Are They Now..?" stories you probably know Scott Schwartz (Flick) went on to star in several porn flicks and was later an agent for porn actors.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

That's really sad, to know that they went on to do stuff like that. You'd think an actor as well-known as him would have had more chances in legit movies. There too, I also remember hearing that Stephen Geoffries (Evil Ed in Fright Night) went into gay porn. It's amazing what happns to some of your favorite stars.....
